Global Network

Jenny Connell has a lifetime of experience with shipping, global logistics, trade, migration and investment. With a network that spans 49 countries, Jenny has strategic, high net relationships across the globe and regularly hosts overseas trade mission for Australian Government and Industry Groups.

Most recently Jenny’s focus has been to promote trade and investment between Asia and Australia. Jenny has facilitated over $200M worth of investment into Queensland and has been appointed the State’s Cultural Diversity Ambassador by the Premier. She is also the Honorary Ambassador of the City of Brisbane as well as the City of Ipswich.

In these roles and as the founder of Golden Gate Trading, Jenny will continue to facilitate investment into Australian projects as well as support migration to Australia and international trade with many Asian countries, especially through her extensive relationships in China.

Through a strong network of strategic alliances in the world of finance having access to introduce principal parties for the purpose of certain, specific currency exchanges. Jenny has raised hundred of thousands of dollars for charity and humanitarian projects. Jenny is an active philanthropist and supports many causes focused on women, children, elderly, cultural diversity and education.

TV & Media

Jenny has been featured on a provocative SBS series which highlighted the challenges of Chinese families integrating with Australian society. Hosted by well known Journalist Ray Martin, the series was called ‘look me in the eye’ and was praised for it’s gritty honesty, raw emotion and story of the life of Jenny and two others. The documentary series was featured on Australian TV in 2017.

Brisbane Sister Cities Program

Jenny has also been featured in Chinese media for the government trade investment deals, highlighting her trusted role as an adviser or intermediary for both the Chinese and Australian Governments along with the Brisbane Sister Cities Program and has close ties with the Mayors from various Cities involved across the Asia Pacific region.

Jenny Connell is originally from Shanghai, China and has been operating her business in Australia for more than 25 years as an Australian citizen. She is proud to be involved networking people and businesses between China and Australia.

Jenny has established her business over the years in Australia and Shanghai, inviting Chinese people to visit Australia as part of study, business, or government delegations.

Establishing business networking events to promote investment into Queensland. Jenny is working with the Mayors of Brisbane and Ipswich and their teams as well as local business to provide quality investment for the South and East Asian Community to invest in Australia. Currently Jenny is involved with many events, the Federal Campaign launch and supporting the Lions Club.
